Kicking off the world’s most anticipated sporting event of 2022, the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Dubai International (DXB) gears up for a busy and exciting few weeks. Football fans around the world are choosing Dubai as their destination to travel to for the matches, with 60 shuttle flights per day between Dubai World Central (DWC) and Doha.

Leveraging the buzz, Meraas has partnered with Dubai Airports and JCDecaux to display live scoring of the FIFA World Cup 2022 tournament on advertising screens across key locations at the airports. Providing travellers the ultimate experience in live football action as their favourite teams battle their way to the top, Meraas is one of the only brands in the region to implement this out-of-the-box idea, capturing their vision of creating coveted, memorable moments for people across the city.

With their campaign on more than 140 screens across three terminals at DXB, the live scoring will be displayed in areas that typically boast high dwell time, such as the departures passport control, waiting areas, and boarding gates. Benefitting from JCDecaux’s Dynamic Content Solutions, Meraas takes its digital campaign to the next level with real-time score updates. This unique concept once again cements DXB as a platform for brands to unleash their creativity and engage more effectively with a global audience.

During the FIFA World Cup, flydubai and Qatari flag carrier, Qatar Airways, will fly hundreds of thousands of football fans between Doha and Dubai, according to Dubai Airports. The campaign by Meraas, known to be one of Dubai’s leading master developers, in partnership with the world’s busiest international airport, is an exceptional example of a brand capitalising on creative advertising avenues through JCDecaux’s impactful platforms.
