Dubai World Central (DWC), located in Dubai South, near Jebel Ali Port, also known as Al Maktoum International Airport is Dubai’s newest aviation hub and a cornerstone of the emirate’s long-term vision for global connectivity.
Built for the Future
DWC is set to become Dubai’s primary airport of the future, underpinned by a multi‑billion‑dollar expansion programme, it is estimated to be five times the size of the current Dubai International Airport. Upon completion, the airport is being designed to handle up to 260 million passengers annually, with five parallel runways and accommodating 400 aircraft gates. This scale will position DWC among the largest airports in the world and reinforce its role as a central driver of Dubai’s economic growth. The development spans extensive logistics districts, commercial zones, residential communities and exhibition spaces, all anchored by the airport platform.
