JCDecaux Bahrain showcases the new state-of-the-art Bahrain International Airport advertising portfolio
Originally established in 1927 as the first airport in the Arabian Gulf, Bahrain International Airport (BIA) has always been a significant aviation center in the Gulf region. In 2016, in line with Bahrain’s national vision and reputation as a leading financial and cultural hub in the region, the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (MTT) and Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) moved forward with a $1.1 billion investment into the new 210,000 square meter terminal, as part of the Airport Modernization Program (AMP).

With an increased capacity up to 14M passengers a year and a four times larger size, the new terminal which is opening on January 28, 2021, provides passengers with a unique world-class travel experience: 74 check-in counters, 32 premium check-in counters, 8 e-gates departure, and multiple lounges, including 2 business class check-in lounges.

Through the exclusive 10-year contract, JCDecaux Bahrain implemented more than 30 advertising solutions strategically located in the passengers’ flow in the new terminal. These solutions include iconic and high-impact static formats as well as the latest generation digital screens to provide brands with exclusive advertising opportunities and to reach premium airport audiences at every touchpoint of their airport journey.
