Bahrain International Airport, a new world-class facility

Opened in 2021, the 207,000 square meters terminal is one of the largest construction projects ever undertaken in the Gulf kingdom.

With a capacity of 14 million passengers a year, the airport will provide passengers with a unique world-class travel experience.

A growing traffic hub

Bahrain International Airport reached a record 8.2M passengers in 2024, marking a promising pathway towards a steady growth.
The airport has been chosen as venue for world-class events such as Routes World International, reconfirming the positive outlook of the terminal as crucial stop in the region.

Key airlines

BIA is the home of Gulf Air, the national flag-carrier for the country, which operates more than 2,270 monthly flights to 42 destinations to 25 destinations across Africa, Asia and Europe. BIA is also a key link in the networks of 39 commercial and cargo airlines.
